Jennifer is a behavioral scientist, author, and General Atlantic Professor at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and Coulter Family Fellow. She studies how purpose and meaning shape the choices individuals make, how time can be used to create meaning in unconventional ways and how technologies including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Mixed Reality (XR) are redefining human interaction. At Stanford, she teaches classes including Designing AI to Cultivate Human Well-Being, Rethinking Purpose, A New Type of Leader, VR/AR: Scaling Empathy in an Immersive World, Power of Story, and Humor: Serious Business. Dr. Aaker serves as a board member and advisor helping companies and leaders with digital transformation, global brand building and embracing a new type of leadership anchored on purpose, fueled by levity.
Naomi is a bestselling author, innovation strategist, media coach, and Lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. At Stanford she teaches courses at the intersection of humor, purpose, and leadership. As a strategic conversation designer, she facilitates executive sessions for the boards and leadership teams of startups to Fortune 100 companies. She has dedicated her career to understanding and fostering the conditions necessary to spark innovation, spur alignment, and create lasting impact. Recognizing that companies are often held back not by technical challenges, but human ones, Naomi has focused her work on helping executives and their teams mitigate or dissolve those barriers to progress through thoughtfully crafted, interactive experiences. As a media consultant, she works with executives and celebrities to hone personal brand perceptions and authentically infuse humor into their style. She coaches clients remotely and in-person, focused on events ranging from appearances on The Tonight Show and Saturday Night Live, to company All Hands meetings and start-up investor pitches.
